Institution ProfileVäxjö University is a higher educational institution that offers students a variety of programs in different subjects. It was established in 1965. Since 1999, it has been offering students a chance to take up doctorate studies as well. The institution comprises of seven different schools- the Schools of Management and Economics, Humanities, Technology and Design, Education, Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Social Work, and Mathematics and Systems Engineering. Students can also take up programs that are funded by the Swedish National Police Board. The institution is involved in the Nordplus, LLP/Erasmus and ISEP programs. Options for students range from regular classes and art-time programs to the distance mode of education.
Växjö University is actively involved in research in fields like Labor Market Policy, History, Sociology, and Entrepreneurship.
