Institution ProfileUniversity of Stavanger is located in Ullandhaug, Norway. The campus is just a ten minutes drive from Stavanger. The present student population is around 8000. Plus, there are 900 faculty members and staff members working at the university. University of Stavanger consists of three faculties and two national centers of expertise. Faculty of Arts and Education, Faculty of Social Science and Faculty of Science and Technology are the three faculties at the university. All the three are located at the campus in Ullandhaug except for the Department of Music and Dance that is located at Bjergsted Park.
Faculty of Social Science is the largest faculty at the University of Stavanger. It has more than 3400 students and 5 departments:

The Faculty of Social Science offers academic study programs and professional training programs in the areas of social science, economics, health and social studies. The Faculty of Science and Technology is another important part of this university. It is known for its contribution towards petroleum research. It has five departments. This faculty offers bachelors, masters and PhD. degrees in the fields of petroleum engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, natural science, industrial economics and many more.
