Institution ProfileTromsø University College comprises of the four Faculties of Health Sciences, Education, Engineering and Economics and Art, Music Conservatory. Many of the programs that are offered at the faculty of Health Sciences are unique to the institution. The institution is the only music conservatory in Norway and it works in close association with the Tromsø Symphony Orchestra, Norway. The Faculty of Education is one of the most ancient faculties in Norway. This faculty is involved in training lower-secondary, pre-school and elementary school teachers. All faculty members are experts in their respective fields.
Students at Tromsø University College can take up a three-yearS Bachelor's programs in fields such as Nursing, Dental Nursing, Radiography, Physiotherapy, and Medical Laboratory Sciences. Students are also offered programs in the fields of Business and Economics, Engineering and Music. No master's level programs are available at the institution currently. Work experience which gives them practical training is an important part of the curriculum helping the students become competent and confident.
Tromsø University College is also actively involved in research and development in various fields and works with several other educational and research institutions of repute. Students are trained using problem-based learning and project works. National students can avail several financial aid schemes including loans, scholarships and grants. A specific number of students are also accepted in the quota scheme and financial aid is available to them.
