Institution ProfileGjøvik University College is located in the western side of Norway's biggest lake, called Lake of Mjøsa. Apart from Gjøvik University College, there are two more colleges imparting higher education in that region. They are Lillehammer University College and Hedmark University College. All these three institutions work harmoniously to develop the region. In future, there are chances of these institutions to consolidate into a university. The colleges churn out quality students dedicatedly.
The EU to offer a new Erasmus Mundus master programme has certified the Gjøvik University College, along with three other European universities: Color in Informatics and Media Technology. Erasmus Mundus is an extremely prestigious programme. The fact is that, it has associated itself with the college just confirms the high quality of the college. This exchange program has got a positive impact on the college and its students, both socially and academically.
Gjøvik University College has healthy links with almost a hundred institutions imparting higher education worldwide. The students are encouraged to go for student exchange programs. All students have to take at least one semester at any one of the partner colleges. Students from partner colleges are also welcomed to Gjøvik University College.
