Institution ProfileBased in Norway, the Bodø Graduate School of Business is a part of the Bodø University College. The college welcomes students from the international community and runs a number of introductory services for new students. The college also provides students with the opportunity to do part of their training or studying abroad. The college is currently involved with research projects in a number of different fields.
The Bodø Graduate School of Business is primarily concerned with research projects and strategies, though it does offer higher education programs for executives. All staff members are active in the areas of finance, business or IT in the public and private sector. While all research is aimed at being relevant on a regional and global scale, a great deal of emphasis is placed on the scientific aspect of research. The institute specially chooses eligible candidates for stipends and for its PhD program.
The Bodø Graduate School of Business is currently engaged in a number of national and international collaborations with both businesses and academic institutions. It is also actively engaged in a number of forums such as journals and conferences to initiate debate and discussion on aspects of business trade and development. The main objectives of the institute are the importance of economic management in today's society as well as the importance of ethics and environmental issues in business. The importance of social development in the context of business strategies and innovations are also explored.
