Institution ProfileAnsgar College and Theological Seminary is located in Kristiansand, Norway and is the biggest non-Lutheran school of its kind in the country. It is a conservative and evangelical institution that adherers to the Lausanne Covenant. The institute provides both master and bachelor degree programs in aspects of theology and Christianity. These programs all hold accreditation from the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education.
Ansgar College and Theological Seminary currently offers five bachelor study courses and two master degree programs. The bachelor programs incorporate both core subjects and elective study courses. The elective courses can be taken in different subject areas and even in different colleges. All students of the Intercultural Understanding bachelor degree program are taken on a compulsory one-month visit to a 'southern' country. Apart from this, the institute holds an annual tour for students to travel abroad. The institute has a number of international partnerships, which allow students to pursue further studies in other countries.
Accommodation is available at Ansgar College and Theological Seminary in the form of three dormitories. Living quarters are available for single students and those with families. The majority of the lectures are delivered in Norwegian but foreign students can avail faculty assistance to find study materials in other languages. The institute has a number of state-of-the-art classrooms as well as a chapel on campus. Students can also access the swimming pool, which is also on campus.
