Urologists can see patients clinically in either an office setting for minor treatment (eg. vasectomies), and in a hospital setting for more complicated cases (eg. prostate cancer treatments). They can often do this as a solo practice or as part of a urology group, sharing the responsibilities. Urologists can also work in a university setting as teachers of urology, usually in conjunction with also being a practicing clinical urologist. Given that many elderly patients have urological issues, urologists can also find work in nursing homes.
