Admission to a graduate-level program in management sciences requires a previous degree in a related discipline (eg. engineering, industrial engineering) with a minimum B+ average. Some schools also require some form of advanced experience in an engineering management environment (eg. co-op, directed studies, industry experience, etc).
Admission to a PhD program in engineering management can either be directly from an undergraduate degree (pending exceptional academic marks) or after acquiring a relevant Master's-level degree.
As all graduate programs require a supervisor, most schools require this person to be approved prior to final admission.
