Studying Electrochemistry in Canada |
Students studying electrochemistry will already have the necessary background in chemistry and physics, and should have an affinity for mathematics, science, and problem solving. Students learn the fundamentals of organic and inorganic chemistry. Analytical chemistry studies include the basic principles and tenets of analytical science and how these aspects are put into practice in analytical techniques. As well, students are introduced to modern instrumental methods of chemical analyses. Topics include chromatography, electrophoresis, electrochemistry, and spectroscopy.
Graduate students attend weekly seminars on a variety of chemistry topics where they get to hear about new developments in electrochemistry, and present their own data for analysis and critique.
