Prerequisites for Graduate Studies in Developmental Psychology |
Most developmental psychology programs in Canada are graduate-level. To be admitted to a Master's-level program in developmental psychology, students must have an undergraduate degree in a related field such as psychology, social work, nursing, or education with at least a B+ average. Additional experience in developmental psychology, such as that gained through professional experience or directed studies, is an asset. Doctoral-level studies require a Master's-level degree in a related field. In all graduate cases, students must have chosen a supervisor prior to final admission. Some schools may require results from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
