Graduate certificates in audiology are available at several schools. Students must have an undergraduate degree with at least a B+ average. Completion of a previous course in developmental psychology, linguistics, or research methods is recommended.
To be admitted to a graduate degree program in audiology, students must have an undergraduate degree in a field such as biosciences, audiology, music, linguistics, psychology, health sciences, or communication sciences, with at least a B+ average. Previous experience in an audiology environment, such as that gained through industry experience or directed studies, is an asset. To be admitted to a PhD program in audiology, students must have a Master's degree in a related field. In all cases, the graduate supervisor must be chosen prior to final admission. Some schools may require completion of the Graduate Records Examination (GRE).
