To be admitted to a graduate program in astronomy, students must have completed an undergraduate degree in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics, with at least a B+ average. An engineering degree is sometimes acceptable. Experience in astronomy, either through that gained through co-op, directed studies, or industry experience, is an asset.
To be admitted to a PhD program in astronomy, students must have completed a Master's-level degree in astronomy, physics, or astrophysics, with at least a B+ average.
For all graduate degrees, the supervisor must be chosen prior to final admission.
