BCIT has extensive AME certificate and diploma programs, with specializations in many fields such as general maintenance, avionics, and aircraft structures.
Completion of high school is required. English, math, physics, mechanics, and drafting are recommended. Pre-entry tests in reading, mathematics, and mechanical reasoning are necessary for final admission. Upgrading options are available for those who have not completed high school or are missing certain prerequisites.
For admission to the AME program in Avionics, prior completion of BCIT's Electronics Technician Program with a minimum of 70% in both theory and practical components is required.
