Rowe Management Building at Dalhousie University, Tuesday, September 20th, at a reception in the Rowe Building Atrium, main floor from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The building provides a new learning space for the Faculty of Management's 2500 students, faculty and staff. The five-storey building, located at 6100 University Avenue will be the meeting place for students, faculty, alumni and members of the public to share ideas and innovations in management. Some 500 gifts were made to the Management Without Borders campaign, pushing it to reach its $25 million goal in three-and-a-half years. Management faculty and staff made a significant financial contribution, while continuing to develop and deliver Dalhousie's management programs. "This was not a difficult campaign to believe in," said national campaign chair John Risley. He praised the diverse slate of academic programs offered in the faculty, as well as the leadership and commitment shown by the Dean, faculty, staff and other university members. The new space will bring together the four partners in the Faculty — Business, Public Administration, Library and Information Studies and Resource and Environmental Studies — in an environment that supports an interdisciplinary approach and inspires innovative thinking. This is an example of the exciting development going on at Dalhousie, following on the heels of Risley Hall, the Computer Science Building, the Marion McCain Building, the Fountain Hall extension and the Ralph Medjuck Building. Dalhousie is growing our campus to accommodate the growing numbers of exceptional students coming here. About Dalhousie: Dalhousie is a comprehensive, research-intensive university with more than 15,500 students. In The Scientist magazine, it was recently named one of the best non-commercial places to work as a scientific researcher outside the United States.
