Tiff Macklem, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, since December 2004, will be at The University of Western Ontario tomorrow to address this issue. Macklem's responsibilities include analysis of international economic and financial issues, and their relationship to monetary policy. As a member of the Bank's Governing Council and the Executive Management Committee, he shares responsibility for decisions with respect to monetary policy and the management of the business of the Bank. Macklem completed a master's degree and a PhD in economics at Western. WHEN: 4 to 4:45 p.m.
