October 3, 2005 Source: St. Mary's University: http://www.smu.ca/newsreleases/2005/10-03-2005.html Sobey PhD Students Shine at 2005 Atlantic Schools of Business Conference A number of students enrolled in the PhD program in Management in the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University demonstrated their academic talents at this year’s Atlantic Schools Business Conference that was held in Halifax, NS this past weekend. The three-day event attracted graduate students from across the region. Terrance Weatherbee, Kelly Dye, Scott MacMillan and Natalie Vladi all won Best Paper Awards. These four students provided stellar essays focusing on topics that encompassed the study of management. Margaret McKee, who presented "Making Sense of Workplace Spirituality," won the Best Student Paper Award. As well, judges for this competition presented the graduate students from the Sobey School of Business with the Award of Excellence for Best Business School. This award is for the school with the most presentations/participation. Saint Mary's University is known for its community outreach projects, both in Canada and around the world.
