Hulley, a graduate of McMaster University, the Viticulture and Oenology program at the University of California at Davis, and a 17-year veteran of the Ontario grape and wine industry, is pleased to be joining the CCOVI team. Hulley will be responsible for raising the local, national and international profile of the institute through enhanced communications, a new web-based professional outreach and strategic international hospitality alliances. Administrative Co-ordinator Barb Tatarnic, who has been instrumental in co-ordinating outreach activities for CCOVI since its inception is excited to see the growth of the communications arm of the institute and is looking forward to teaming up with Hulley to advance the CCOVI message. As Hulley explains, "We want to make CCOVI even more transparent and to demonstrate to the grape and wine industry the relevance and importance of the work being done on cool climate oenology and viticulture issues. Basically, we want CCOVI to become a very approachable resource centre for grape growers and winemakers alike. In the coming months and beyond, we will be reaching out in many ways. This is a great opportunity." Hulley can be reached by e-mail or phone at Inniskillin Hall, Brock University, and he warmly invites all stakeholders to contact him.
