Matthew Alderson placed second overall in the rigorous competition. As well, students Mark Richardson and Markus Pape completed the weekend with a strong presence. There were 20 teams in total that competed in the math competition. Dr Wendy Finbow-Singh, a professor of mathematics and computing science, was the team’s coach. "Our team from SMU worked hard in order to prepare for the annual competition," she says. "They only look forward to future competitions and will shine with their great math skills."
