The University hosted its final United Way Campaign event this afternoon. Those who attended the October Fest Lunch at the Gorsebrook Pub were informed that SMU has met its goal in raising $31,000.00. The United Way Campaign on campus was launched earlier this month. The success of this year’s Campaign is directly attributed to the hard work and dedication of the 2006 Organizing Team. Team members include: Pat Bishara, Information Officer, Public Affairs Department; Krista Armstrong, Public Affairs Assistant; Helen Dolan, Public Affairs Officer; Sarah Morris, Student Services; Kathleen Jewell, Residence Office; Clay Fowler, Director of Residence; Keith Hotchkiss, Director of Student Services; Paul Turgeon, Facilities Management; Tony Arab, Facilities Management; Julee Adams, Chemistry Department; Ken MacCauly, United Way Representative; Jonah Taussig, Athletics and Recreation Department; and Adrienne McCarthy, Institutional Analysis and Planning (External Affairs). Saint Mary's University is known for its community outreach projects, both in Canada and around the world.
