News conference to launch website on Moravian settlement in Labrador

A
news conference to launch a new website that documents the history of the
Moravian presence in coastal Labrador will be held on Friday, October 13 at
10 a.m.
The Inuit Through Moravian Eyes, documents in images, sound and text the
history of the Moravian missionary settlements and highlights the
interaction between the congregation and the Inuit of coastal Labrador.
A joint project among the Libraries of the University of Toronto, Memorial
University of Newfoundland and Laval Université, this website was made
possible through the Canadian Culture Online Program of the Department of
Canadian Heritage.
The launch takes place in the Beatrice Watts Boardroom, Room IIC 2015, Inco
Innovation Centre, St. John’s Campus, Memorial University. Parking is
available in Area 15.
