Nova Scotia House of Assembly Recognizes King's Event

On Wednesday, November 1, 2006, Mr. Leonard Preyra, MLA for Halifax Citadel, gave notice that he intended to move for the adoption of Resolution No. 503: to recognize and commend the University of King's College's Holocaust Education Society and its organization of Holocaust Education Week, for their efforts to promote tolerance and understanding between peoples of different faiths and backgrounds in Nova Scotia.

Said Mr. Preyra: "...education, dialogue and creative expression through art and music are means through which we can remember the horrors of the Holocaust, reflect on the contemporary legacies of the Holocaust, and plege to speak out against discrimination and injustice in our own communities."
