November 16, 2005 Source: Concordia University: http://publicaffairs.concordia.ca/mediaroom/pressreleases/2005/11/005428.shtml New Writers for a New Europe MONTREAL/November 16, 2005 — - As part of the Salon du livre de Montréal, Concordia University is organizing, in partnership with the ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec a round table titled New Writers for a New Europe. The round table will take place on Friday, November 18, at 10: 30 a.m., at Samuel Bronfman House (1590 Doctor Penfield, corner Côte-des-Neiges). The event is open to the public. Participating European authors include: Mercedes Abad from Spain, Gabriel Loidolt from Austria, Patrick McGuinness from Wales and Glenn Patterson from Northern Ireland. The event will be moderated by David Homel, novelist and professor in the Études Françaises Department at Concordia University, a finalist for the 2005 Governor General’s literary Awards.
