When: Tuesday, November 15, 2005 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where: Adam Room, Chateau Laurier Hotel Background: Held two weeks after the submission of the first report, the conference will provide an opportunity to hear the reflections of leaders from Canada’s Public Administration research community on accountability and integrity in public service post-Gomery and to propose ideas and reforms that could strengthen the Canadian public service. The presentations will not rehash the events of the sponsorship scandal, but look forward to reform. The aim will be to explore how the report will affect the work of public service administrators and influence the development of the Canadian Public Service generally. The conference will bring together leading public administration academics and researchers from universities and think tanks across the country as well as some key practitioners. The event will be co-chaired by Dr. Luc Bernier, Professor, Ecole nationale d'administration publique and President of IPAC, and Dr. Susan Phillips, Director, School of Public Policy and Administration, Carleton University.
