The University of Alberta's School of Business and Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation offer the Master of Business Administration in Leisure and Sport Management (MBA in LSM), a unique program in Canada designed for individuals interested in a career as managers of the business of sports. The Program will expose students to a wide array of business concepts, theories, and skills while allowing them to specialize in Leisure and Sport through courses which will 'examine the theories of leisure and sport management and the process of bridging theory and practice.' To complete the Program, students must partake in 'a six-credit project or work internship' which, in the past, has seen students work with a wide array of sports organizations and events, including the IAAF World Championships in Athletics.
