Offered jointly between Concordia University's John Molson School of Business, +cole des Hautes +tudes Commerciales de MontrTal (HEC Montreal), McGill University, and UniversitT du QuTbec a MontrTal, the Ph.D. in Business Administration is a 3 to 5 year program, excluding the qualifying phase, which will enable students to 'develop the research skills required to address topics at the frontiers of management knowledge and practice' in order to 'become autonomous researchers, whose teaching, publications and consulting activities contribute to leading universities and organizations around the world.' Students will be able to structure their respective programs to suit their interests including majoring in 1 of 7 areas of specialization, including Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Management Science, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour, Strategy and Organization, or engaging in multidisciplinary studies. To successfully complete the Program, students must write and successfully defend a dissertation/thesis, which must include substantial original research and content. The Program is offered in both English and French and candidates must demonstrate proficiency in at least one of the aforementioned languages and a 'basic knowledge of the other.' Additionally, as a result of the cooperative nature of the Program, students will have access to resources from all partnered institutions including more than 250 professors and vast library and research facilities.
