Dalhousie University's Master of Resource and Environmental Management (MREM) is a 16-month program, offered in partnership between the University's School for Resources and Environmental Studies and the Faculty of Management, designed for students aspiring to careers in resource and environmental management. The MREM is a professional degree that aims to educate students in the problem-solving skills and the 'scientific (social and biophysical) understanding' required 'to create innovative solutions to resource and environmental issues.' The Program is only available on a full-time schedule and students will undertake three intensive coursework semesters and one internship/project semester which will be completed 'over a four-month period in the third or summer semester.' Admission to the MREM is competitive and requires that applicants possess a minimum of an Honours Bachelor Degree, or equivalent, with a 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) ' from a university recognized by the Senate of Dalhousie.'
