The John Molson School of Business at Concordia University offers the Master of Science in Administration, a 2-year program comprised of course work, mostly completed in the first year, and a thesis, completed in the second year, designed for qualified individuals interested in 'specialized managerial and administrative careers in the private and public sectors.' The Program consists of 3 core courses, 5 specialized seminars derived from the student's area of concentration chosen among Finance, Management, Marketing, or Management Information Systems, 'and a Research Methodology course.' To complete the Program students must produce a major thesis based around the student's area of concentration which will require the student to 'apply the technical and analytical skills they have learned in the course work.' The end goal of the Program is to enable students to garner in depth knowledge of their selected areas of interest while providing them with 'a solid theoretical base' from which to 'produce the kind of practical research that is becoming increasingly necessary in business, government, and industry.'
