Athabasca University's Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM) is a 14-month program, delivered primarily online, designed for individuals who possess professional experience at the managerial level but who do not have an undergraduate degree. The GDM, which is identical to Phase 1 of the University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) offering, builds upon the students' work experience by providing them with 'a solid foundation in the key areas of management' via 'six core courses, followed by a comprehensive examination.' Upon successful completion of the GDM, graduates may apply for direct admission to Phase Two of any of the University's MBA programs.
