The Schulich School of Business at York University offers a flexible Master of Business Administration which enables students to shape their respective studies to complement their interests and needs. The Program will expose students to the broad, core fundamentals of business while enabling them to specialize in 1 or more of over 18 major areas including Accounting, Arts and Media, Business and Sustainability, Business Consulting, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Services, Health Industry Management, International Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management Leadership, Operations Management and Information Systems, Organizational Behavior/Industrial Relations, Public Management, Real property Management, and Strategic Management. Students may also specialize in an area via programs 'such as the International MBA (IMBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), or MBA/LLB; and/or graduate diploma programs in real property development, democratic administration, financial engineering, or arts and media administration, non-profit management and leadership, or justice system administration' or participants may forego a concentration and pursue a generalized MBA. Students may also internationalize their respective educational experiences through participating in an international study option in which students can learn at 1 of over 40 post-secondary institutions with which York University if partnered in 29 countries. The Program may be completed in 16 to 24 months on a full-time basis or in 40 to 72 months on a part-time schedule; students with a 4-year Honours Bachelor degree in Business, or equivalent, and at least 2 years of full-time relevant employment may be eligible for an accelerated version of the MBA program in which the required number of credits for the degree can be cut by as much as half.
