The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree offered by the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario is a unique 12-month program based on the School's novel concept of "Cross-Enterprise Leadership." The latter makes a 'break from the traditional approach to management education that uses functional disciplines' and instead educates students to approach and 'address issues, on an ongoing basis, from the perspective of the entire enterprise.' Although Cross-Enterprise Leadership is an integral component of the MBA program, students will be afforded the opportunity to tailor their respective programs with respect to career aspirations in a particular area of interest including Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Financial Services, Investment Banking, Marketing, Operations, and the Health Industry. Moreover, students will have the option of partaking in an international study tour primarily as a way to meet with business leaders from other parts of the world and experience first-hand 'cross-enterprise issues in the business environment.'
