McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a full-time, 20-month program, although it may be pursued on a part-time basis under certain circumstances, which will focus on both 'the integrated thinking managers need to solve multi-disciplinary problems' and on the development of student abilities to effectively 'work in teams and to lead others, and to easily adapt to non-structured, constantly changing situations.' During the second year of the Program, students will be able to both major in 1 of 8 areas of specialization, including Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Management, International Business, Management for Developing Economies, Marketing, Operations Management, and Strategic Management, and to study abroad for a semester at 1 of more than '20 leading universities situated around the world.' The University stresses that this Program is rigorous and will require students to commit up to 60 hours of study per week.
