McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management and Faculty of Medicine jointly offer the combined Master of Business Administration/Medicine (MBA/MD), a 5-year program 'designed to graduate doctors with skills uniquely directed towards management in the Health Care Sector.' For the first year of the Program students will undertake studies in the Desautels Faculty of Management where they will be exposed to core business concepts as well as 'the integrated thinking managers need to solve multi-disciplinary problems' and to the necessary skills to work in teams, lead and manage others, and 'easily adapt to non-structured, constantly changing situations.' The remaining 4 years of the MBA/MD degree will be spent on studies in the Faculty of Medicine. Once students successfully complete the Program, they will be awarded 'an MBA from the Desautels Faculty of Management, and MD and CM degrees from the Faculty of Medicine.'
