Overview Looking for a way to volunteer with UNICEF in the New Year? UNICEF Canada is looking for volunteers to help spread the word about the UNICEF Student Challenge. Through information sharing and social networking, UNICEF volunteers help to promote competitions, fundraising campaigns and raise awareness to ensure that all children can grow up safe, healthy and educated; and protected against violence, abuse and discrimination. What is the UNICEF Student Challenge? Water is life. Yet nearly 900 million people do not have access to safe, clean drinking water and 2.6 billion people live without proper sanitation. The UNICEF Student Challenge is an exciting new initiative for Canadian post-secondary students to improve access to clean water for the world's most vulnerable children and win a three-day trip to New York City that includes an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of UNICEF headquarters at the United Nations. Key Benefits: Volunteers have the opportunity to learn and enhance their skills in advocacy, fundraising and social networking by participating in our innovative campaigns online.
