Overview Music Instructor New deadline Share your talent and passion for the industry at our Nelson, BC campus Our unique and truly diverse Contemporary Music Program trains musicians for the commercial music and entertainment industries. We allow students to follow their own stylistic interests (blues, jazz, R&B, pop, rock, folk, etc.) as they study in a curriculum grounded in current music industry standards and aimed at developing their practical skills. You will lead the Songwriting major, taking on a teaching load that includes songwriting, arranging and the business of music, as well as providing private vocal lessons and vocal labs and coaching student ensembles. Based in picturesque Nelson, BC, you will find an amazing lifestyle combination: nature on your doorstep and a thriving local arts scene, where you're encouraged to continue pursuing your own professional musical career.

Experience and Qualifications Along with a degree (ideally a Master's), you have 3 - 5 years' experience performing professionally and 3 - 5 years' experience providing formal instruction, preferably at the post-secondary level. A team player and natural collaborator, you will use your extensive musical knowledge and excellent communication skills to teach across all aspects of the core curriculum.
