We are looking for a Plant Chemical Technologist to work in a team environment conducting laboratory analysis and associated plant tests to ensure plant chemical operating limits are maintained. This involves: gathering, selecting and preparing test samples; calculating and interpreting test results and initiating corrective actions such as informing appropriate personnel and altering chemical feeds to the plant systems; and compiling and preparing test data and reports on the findings. This position is within the scope of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union. The closing date for this competition is April 16, 2012. Experience and Qualifications Successful applicants must have a diploma in Chemical Technology or a degree in Chemistry along with an aptitude for accuracy, detail. As well, the successful candidate will be required to complete the SaskPower Chemical Technologist Certification. Candidates must possess valid class 5 Driver's Licence.
