This position is responsible for the analysis and evaluation of generation and load interconnections, open access transmission tariff services, and interprovincial or international interconnections to the SaskPower electric system and the preparation of recommendations for facility additions and/or modifications for these interconnections to ensure the future adequacy and safe, reliable and economic operation of SaskPower electric system. The scope of this position may also include associated projects within operational telecommunications, power system protection, supervisory control and data acquisition, Smart Grid, and operational cyber security planning. Placement and progression within the salary range shown is dependent upon education, experience and professional designation. The closing date for this position is February 13, 2012. Experience and Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), possess related engineering work experience and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Interested applicants with graduate degrees in subject areas noted above are especially encouraged to apply. A suitable combination of education and experience may also be considered.
