Responsibilities The Electrical Plant Engineer is responsible for assisting with and/or providing engineering support in the operations and maintenance of the power plant, including troubleshooting, "root cause" analysis and process improvement recommendations and initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for providing the preparation of technical studies, preliminary designs, specifications, tender evaluations, equipment and construction drawings; and for providing contract management and project coordination.

Experience and Qualifications Successful applicants must have a university degree in electrical or electronic systems engineering, be eligible for professional membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and have relevant post degree engineering work experience. Applicants with experience in medium and high voltage electrical systems and/or boiler/turbine controls will be given preference. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, communication, organization and problem solving skills, along with the ability to lead and supervise activities in a changing environment.
