Overview SaskPower is currently searching for an Engineer, Communications, Protection & Control to join our System Planning and Development - Operations area. Our ideal candidate will be energetic and able to share engineering expertise and knowledge to plan and develop telecommunication, protection (exclusive of 25kV), control (SCADA) and electronic event recording requirements of the transmission and distribution systems to ensure their safe, reliable, secure and economic operation. This position will also plan for related smart grid and operational cyber security applications.

Experience and Qualifications Our ideal candidate will have a university degree in electrical or electronics engineering, and will be eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS). Several years of experience in planning or designing telecommunications, protection, control, automation facilities, IEC 61850 or other relevant utility experience will be considered a highly desirable asset.
