Overview Reporting to the Manager of Development, the Development Coordinator will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all data entry and database information with respect to fund development. The Development Coordinator will also be responsible for prospect research and administrative support to the development team. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player, organized, and able to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities Record and process donations, pledges, sponsorships, recurring payments, gifts in kind and other revenues Process cheques and credit card transactions when received, including recording in receipt binder, entry into the database and bank deposit Management and entry of contact information into Raiser's Edge Generate taxable donation receipts and/or acknowledgement letters Generate monthly reports for management Answer telephone requests and queries Purchasing/Ordering supplies for the House from multiple vendors Generating mailing/email list for Communications Prospect research General administrative support to development team Growing Raiser's Edge constituents and capabilities Information management Assist with grant writing and application Represent the House at third party events General stewardship including donor impact reports

Experience and Qualifications 2-3 years demonstrated experience in fundraising or related field Knowledge of the Raiserâ??s Edge database would be an asset. Excellent word-processing, presentation and spreadsheet skills Excellent donor relations, interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders. Attention to detail and accuracy essential. A proven ability to work independently with the flexibility to take on a wide variety of assigned duties and projects. Ability to work flexible hours when required
