Bartender - Rawhides

Overview

Under the direction of the Rawhides Management, set an example of top quality service and bartending professionalism and ensuring a friendly and welcoming restaurant and saloon environment. Provide timely, accurate and friendly service while preparing the highest quality beverages for patrons.

Responsibilities

-Check identification of customers in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol; -Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons; -Serve wine, and bottled or draft beer; -Serve snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar; -Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters in order to prepare cocktails and other drinks; -Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks; -Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays; -Assist in planning bar menus; -Create drink recipes; -Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment; -Clean bars, work areas, and tables; -Order/requisition liquors and supplies; -Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons; -Ask customers who become loud and obnoxious to leave; -Collect money for drinks served; -Balance cash receipts, responsible for correct cash register balance a

Experience and Qualifications

-Bartending Certificate and/or Mixologist Certificate is an asset -Bartending experience is a valuable asset -Must be able to work unsupervised at times; -Must be available to work on all shifts - days, evenings, weekends and as late as 2:00 am; -Must be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed; -Must be able to work in a fast paced restaurant environment -Must be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds -Must be reasonable proficient in speaking, reading and writing English
