With continued growth in the global waterparks industry and increased demand for ProSlide rides, we are expanding in a number of areas including Design, Engineering and Operations. We are currently recruiting for: The project engineer is responsible for the coordination of engineering activities and documentation related to the design and construction of structural elements including towers and support systems for water slides. The incumbent will manage multiple engineering projects and interact with project managers, clients, sub-contractors and consultants to deliver quality structural solutions on time and on budget. The Project Engineer will participate in all certification initiatives in collaboration with China Special Equipment and Inspection and Research Center (CSEI) to qualify ride designs for safe commercial use according to stated standards.

Responsibilities Provides Engineering deliverables for water ride complexes including the generation of: Track Support Plans, Bills of Materials, Mechanical/Electrical and Plumbing packages, Assembly Manuals and Shop Drawings. Key stakeholder in all water ride certification processes as required by the China Special Equipment and Inspection and Research Center (CSEI) and other relevant Chinese agencies. Performs supplier and manufacturer audits in China ensuring drawings, specifications and product quality requirements are as per expectations and compliant to Chinese building codes and standards. Corresponds with Chinese customers daily to establish priorities and report on project status. Travel to China required on a regular basis. Performs structural analysis and design of steel structures and foundations for various Chinese projects working out of Ottawa office. Conducts on-site inspections of Water Ride Installations to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.

Experience and Qualifications Must be fluent in both Chinese and English languages. Engineering Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering with at least 3 years relevant experience. Experience with Chinese building codes and standards. Experience with Finite Element Analysis Software like STAAD, SAP, FEMAP Proven track record in organizing and managing projects to completion Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Demonstrated CAD skills- AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks Excellent analytical skills, strong business acumen Excellent personal computer skills, including spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing software
