Archivist Salary $2,235.87 - $2,554.80 bi-weekly Temporary Assignment until January 30th 2015 An excellent opportunity to use your information management expertise in a client-focused environment Information Access Operations (IAO) is a corporate information management organization providing records management and freedom of information services to BC government ministries and other public bodies. IAO's records management services include: operational policy, standards, procedures, advice and training; records classification and scheduling systems; records management system implementation, support and administration; contracted records storage, retrieval and destruction services; and archival appraisal and selection. The focus of the Archivist position is to develop integrated records classification and scheduling systems for client ministries; appraise the information holdings of these ministries to determine which records will ultimately be destroyed and which will be selectively or fully retained as archives; and review and select specific sets of records for transfer to the government archives.
