BC Public Service Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations Victoria, B.C. IT professionals wanted in Victoria! The Natural Resource Sector (NRS) is a key driver of economic activity and employment in the province. In order to meet the objectives of the BC Jobs Plan and other government priorities, the NRS requires the capability to act as an integrated manager of the province's natural resources and to make timely, durable natural resource decisions. Through a significant investment in Transformation, the NRS will fundamentally transform the way government services are delivered, the way in which natural resources are managed, and the way in which authorization decisions are made. This will be enabled by integrating technology, harmonizing legislation, streamlining business processes, and supporting workforce transformation. The IM/IT positions within the NRS Transformation Secretariat will be part of a unique team working in collaboration with the NRS Information Management Branch, the Transformation Secretariat team, cross-government agencies and a diverse group of operational and strategic vendors, as well as a wide range of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
