As a Child Protection Worker, through assessment and collaboration you develop plans with families to ensure the safety of children and youth. Your skill set will include interviewing clients, evaluating vulnerability factors, investigating child welfare reports and determining a plan of action including family support services. The client group includes working with aboriginal families. Caring and level headed, you support and work collaboratively with families, fulfill the role of guardian and coordinate and consult with other service providers in a multidisciplinary team environment. You will be working in an integrated office environment. Demonstrating strong organizational skills, you prepare documentation for court, file documents and ensure legislative requirements are addressed.
