Responsibilities The International Wind Energy Academy at Lethbridge College is seeking an instructor for the Wind Turbine Technician program. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the development, instruction, and evaluation of student progress in a variety of wind turbine related courses.

Experience and Qualifications Qualifications
Mechanical/millwright and/or electrical journeyman certification with a wind turbine background Minimum five (5) years experience maintaining, repairing and constructing wind turbines of various manufacturers Experience and knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems in various turbine configurations Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and schematics. Must be able to interpret service manuals and one-time inspection/service (retrofit) bulletins Knowledge and work experience on safety procedures including climbing and tower rescue Wind Farm Management, Scada and PLC Systems Experience with rotor blade repair Have an aptitude for teaching these topics, developing course material and shop equipment Be willing to travel, self-motivated and possess strong people skills Formal or non-formal teaching experience would be an asset
