Junior Mechanical Designer/CADD Operator - Hollins Industries International Inc.

Overview

In this position, the employee performs design and detailing of plants and machinery. Incumbent acts as liaison between in house machine shop and fabrication shop and design team, and nay be responsible for a number of different, concurrent projects. Employee may be required to occasionally travel out of office for field inspection trips. Other general office duties are expected to be preformed as well.

Responsibilities

-Operates computer aided design and drafting station using AutoCAD software. -Draws general mill layouts for proposals and control drawings. -Draws assembly drawings of machinery. -Draws detail shop drawings of machinery, complete with bill materials. - Draws presentation drawings for sales and promotion. -Draws 2D and 3D drawings for patent applications. - Prepares and emails processing drawings to suppliers. -Plots large format original drawings. -Copies and collates large format drawings. -Responsible for purchasing and following-up for "Just on Time " material orders. -Administers engineering department computer network. -Troulbleshoots computer related problems. -May be called upon for on site measurement and meetings, including travelling from normal place of work. -Correspondence via FAX and email with suppliers, outside engineers and clients. -Create spreadsheets for various reasons. -Uses word processing software for various reasons. -Preforms internet searches for reports when required. - Helps in p
