Overview Sussman Allergy and Immunology's research enterprise is growing, and, as such, we are looking for an experienced Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to manage the successful delivery of allergy / immunology research studies. The successful candidate will be leading and supervising research studies in a clinical setting, with an Allergy and Immunology specialization. Tasks include securing new studies, patient recruitment and correspondence with patients, physicians, study coordinators and study sponsors. Literature reviews, patient chart reviews, ethics and funding applications and protocol reviews will also be carried out. The successful candidate will manage a team of 2-3 Associate and Assistant research coordinators and 3-6 volunteers. This is an extremely busy, fast-paced, high variety clinic and research department, looking for a senior, experienced coordinator interested in furthering their leadership experience, and in making a long term commitment to a center offering independence, and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities Conduct assigned clinical research studies according to defined study protocols Recruit and screen patients for participation in clinical research studies Obtain proper written informed consent from each study participant prior to study participation Schedule study participant visits as per protocol Monitor and report all adverse events and abnormal results to the Investigator and Sponsor Update and maintain subject screening and enrollment logs Create source documents and any other research documents required for a clinical research study Interact with study Monitors, Investigators and Regulatory Authorities as necessary Prepare injections for patients Write study feasibilities and various applications Prepare and/or edit study posters, abstracts and manuscripts Perform comprehensive literature reviews Perform skin prick tests, pulmonary function tests, and anthropomorphic measurements Prepare and ship biological specimens (Blood, Urine, Serum) Establish intravenous lines when required Monitor and record temperature logs for fridges, and temp regulated cabinets Collect and distribute patient drug samples Assist with office administration of the clinic when required Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Hire/train/supervise clinic staff

Experience and Qualifications 7+ years of clinical research experience - Allergy/immunology study experience an asset Bachelor's degree in nursing required Clinical Research Coordinator certification required, or relevant Master's degree Demonstrated interest in clinical research by employment history Strong knowledge of clinical research and medical terminology, GDP, GCP, etc. Full knowledge of general research procedures and regulatory requirements Experience in laboratory an asset, past publications an asset Experience coordinating a team of research staff an asset Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills Energetic and able to work on multiple projects concurrently Proficiency with MS Office applications
