Overview Our client, Polaris Transportation Group a leader in the freight transportation industry requires a Business Systems Implementation Specialist. As a Business Systems Implementation Specialist you will participate in the complete implementation of business solutions from concept, development, thru to implementation, documentation, and end user training.

Responsibilities Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer you will be working with end users to identify business opportunities and problems, and to follow thru to their end resolution and realization. You will be responsible to coordinate with various software and IT vendors to ensure smooth system operation and continual enhancement. Working with the Chief Technology Officer an experienced business process consultant and developer, you will learn how to take out of the box business solutions and manipulate them well beyond their intended purpose. You will work within an organization that aspires to be a technology leader in their industry.

Experience and Qualifications Post-secondary degree in engineering or computer science. A proven track record of troubleshooting and timely problem resolution Demonstrated experience in database programming, preferably DB2 Must be personable in dealing with end users and other staff An inherent desire to understand how businesses function. Preference will be given to candidates that: have completed some business courses; have completed either co-op or part time work in database programming;
