Over 1,900 students are enrolled in a broad array of innovative and flexible programs that are designed to inspire curiousity, passion and drive for excellence A key leadership position on the Academic team, the Executive Director, Continuing Studies is responsible for leadership and strategic direction of all Continuing Studies programs, partnerships and outreach initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President Academic + Provost and in consultation with the Academic Deans, faculty, and other members of the University community, the Executive Director identifies long term potential for lifelong learning, plans and develops program direction, sets priorities for new areas, and oversees the implementation of related policies and procedures. The Executive Director, Continuing Studies will develop external partnerships and outreach initiatives with the local and regional art and design community, business, industry and other educational institutions.

Experience and Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with at least five years of administrative experience in the area of continuing studies, curriculum development and business modelling. S/he must possess an advanced degree (Masters level) in an Art, Media, or Design discipline or a related field and have a demonstrated track record in innovative and successful program development and marketing. The ideal candidate will have the expertise and ability to inspire new ways of thinking about continuing studies, youth education and/or lifelong learning in a post-secondary environment. S/he will have a collaborative leadership style, an ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and excellent communication skills. Experience with supervision of employees in a unionized environment is preferred.
