Overview Wireline Operator: Working as part of a field crew to run a wireline unit at a wellsite. Working with Field Engineers to operate and maintain downhole tools that are used to acquire data for oil companies.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Under general supervision, receive established instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on wellsite activity.
Perform basic duties at the wellsite and at the shop.
Learn about servicing mechanical devices, building logging cable heads, building perforating cable heads and tool maintenance.
Rig up and down wellsite equipment.
Develop hoisting skills in different situations such as fishing operations, coring operations, testing operations, vertical tool make-up and in deviated wells.
Drive Company vehicles in a safe manner, observing all Company and government regulations, and arrive at well site or other designated destination at scheduled time.
Promote and maintain good customer relations.
Perform other related duties as required.
Travel throughout Western Canada, and potential for overseas postings with experience.

Experience and Qualifications Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
General knowledge of basic oil and gas industry.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Class 1 or 3 Drivers License is preferred but not mandatory.
